Busorama – what happened about that then?
Thanks for asking. In 2008, I made a circuit of the coast of mainland Britain using only local buses, writing about such adventures as can be had in those circumstances in a series of pieces for The Guardian.
I then started this blog to write up my experiences with the idea of eventually turning same into a book (I know, hardly the most original of ideas, but I’m an author and it’s what we do, Lord love us). Sadly, after some initial excitement from publishers there was a bit of a – let’s play safe and call it a misunderstanding – a misunderstanding, and the excitement fizzled out with spectacular celerity. So, if you want to know what else I got up to on my way around Britain, you’ll just have to break into my flat and steal my notebooks (though do bring special breathing apparatus because I have laced the pages with ricin).
As consolation for your loss (I’ve rashly assumed here that you have no access to special breathing apparatus) here is a picture of a bit of a bus.

Fantastic, old boy! Karen was just telling me last night “some of your friends are quirky” i.e. there’s a reason why she won’t be encouraging anyone from my past ever to visit us…
I cannot believe I haven’t discovered your blog ’til now; keep up the good work. Much love to all, US
